Biography
Ian was born three days late on a dark and stormy Michigan night. After that debacle, he is seldom late for anything, including updating his academic head shot. After trips to national parks, natural history museums and zoos as a child, Ian developed a deep passion for exploring, understanding and protecting the Earth's landscapes, waterways and wildlife. This continuing passion is evident throughout his work and photos on this site. Other interests include comedy, running, Pittsburgh sports and world history.
